Whether you like reading a physical book or listening to an audiobook you can't go wrong with Amazon. Starting out as an online book store Amazon has the largest marketplace for books. While these are audible books (my own personal preference) all these books will have a paperback version for anyone that wants to read a physical book.

Being an entrepreneur isn't just about making money or running your own business. It is about becoming the best version of yourself through learning healthy habits, always educating yourself and following mentors.

The most successful entrepreneurs have a mentor to teach them valuable skills, guide them in the right direction and solve problems they might be facing. Even if you don't emulate a self-made billionaire, the slightest bit of knowledge and experience that rubs off on you can be extremely valuable to your career in the long run.

I find I am my most productive when I am listening to an audible book whilst working (like I am doing whilst writing this blog post) I tend to absorb their healthy habits and mentality to really replicate the lifestyle of an entrepreneur, giving myself the best opportunity to succeed.

First things first if you haven't got an Audible account you will need to sign up for one. You can try out the 30-day free trial to see if you like it then afterwards it will cost £7.99 a month or $14.95 in the U.S. Best thing about audible is that you can get a free book every month by getting credit for being a member. The more credits you accumulate the more free books you can get. If you decide to cancel your membership you can still keep and access your books anytime.

Some audiobooks come with a free PDF and others don't, you can find them in your audible library on your desktop. At the time of writing this post, you cannot access the PDF files from the audible mobile app.

Best Audible Books For Entrepreneurs

1. Tim Ferriss: Tools Of Titans

8/10

Yes

I personally love Tools Of Titans because Tim Ferriss has laid out the audiobook for the readers. He has labelled each chapter with titles and encourages you to read the chapters in any order you like. The purpose of the book is to benefit you so he makes it really easy for you to go to the chapters you specifically want to read without having to read the whole book in chronological order. Tim has great advice on being an entrepreneur and has plenty of guests that also give fantastic advice.

2. MJ DeMarco: The Millionaire Fastlane

Fantastic for entrepreneurs and anyone aspiring to become one. This book teaches you ways to make life work for you, it's about learning to live in the fast lane where the money you make can be enjoyed now rather than later on in life. The slow lane is essentially the typical societal path where you work till you retire THEN enjoy life. This book teaches you how to live life NOW.

3. Gary Vaynerchuk: Crushing It

One of the greatest inspirational entrepreneurs around right now is Gary Vaynerchuk. If you want to live life like an entrepreneur look no further than Gary V. Full of knowledge, blunt talk, motivation and compassion this guy has a plethora of insight we can all use. His mindset is so refreshing because he says it how it is. If you're the type of person to make excuses this book isn't for you, Gary doesn't tiptoe around success. You either want it or don't. This book is full of insight into how he went from working in his family's wine store to becoming a multi-millionaire. Fantastic book I personally love it more than his original book Crush It. This book is an updated version and any dedicated Gary V audible readers know all too well that Gary likes to go off topic in his audiobooks. Gary focuses on the social media aspect of building your brand in this book so if you're looking to build your own online brand look no further than Crushing It.

4. Dale Carnegie: How To Win Friends And Influence People

Book Length

Score Out Of 10

PDF Included

7 Hours 15 Mins

7/10

No

This is a classic recommendation by many entrepreneurs because it teaches you the fundamentals of being a business owner. It teaches you how to make an impression on customers and employees by calling them by their name, making an effort to help them or offer value and making them feel important. Originally published in1936 this book has stood the test of time and is definitely worth a read. Learn the fundamentals of being a business person

5. Andres Pira: Homeless To Billionaire

Book Length

Score Out Of 10

PDF Included?

4 Hours 42 Mins

7/10

No

Now the beauty of this book is it's FREE (at the time of writing this post) with your Audible Plus membership. In recent years Audible has introduced free content including podcasts and limited edition series alongside audiobooks. This book is one of the books you can listen to for free with your Audible Plus membership. Fantastic book for anyone wanting to be inspired by a journey to success from the ground up (quite literally). Andres teaches 18 principles on how to build wealth that helped him become the billionaire he is today. This book is so inspiring, his parent's divorce left him questioning his existence and after reading the book The Secret he turned his life around by reframing his mindset.

6. Chris Voss: Never Split The Difference

Book Length

Score Out Of 10

PDF Included?

8 Hours 7 Mins

6/10

No

Next up on my list is another popular book for entrepreneurs, never split the difference focuses on how to become an expert at negotiating. It is similar to the book "How To Win Friends And Influence Others" in the sense that you learn the fundamentals of winning people over whether it's in the workplace or in your personal life. Learn how to become a master at bargaining, saying no and how to be the smartest person in the room. Being able to optimise your mindset to not settle for less is the overall message of this book. Problem-solving skills are vital for becoming a successful entrepreneur so I definitely recommend giving this book a read.

7. Gary Vaynerchuk: Crush It!

Book Length

Score Out Of 10

PDF Included?

3 Hours 40 Mins

8/10

No

I had to add another Gary Vaynerchuk book to the list because he is so motivational. Again he has a very blunt approach to success, you either want it or you don't. In this 13 chapter book, he gives his tips and tricks on how to market yourself, and your brand and how important it is to always go the extra mile for your audience. All his knowledge comes from personal experience so if you want a motivational book that comes from a guy who talks the talk and walks the walk look no further. The difference between Crush It and Crushing It is, that Crush It came out in 2010 and the book is focused purely on pursuing your passion whereas Crushing It is a follow up to the original where Gary focuses on personal brands and encourages the reader to pursue their passion online.

8. Robert T. Kiyosaki: Rich Dad Poor Dad

Book Length

Score Out Of 10

PDF Included?

8 Hours 22 Mins

8/10

Yes

This is another one of the most popular books among entrepreneurs that has stood the test of time. Growing up with two dads Robert had a dilemma deciding which father to listen to. One dad is rich and the other is poor, the contrasting views made it hard for him to decide which dad to impress. He teaches you the fundamentals about making money work for you instead of you working for money. Coming from personal experience Robert teaches you how he learned the ropes of making money.

9. Tim Ferriss: Tribe Of Mentors

Book Length

Score Out Of 10

PDF Included?

18 Hours 43 Mins

8/10

Yes

I have to add another Tim Ferriss book to the list because he is just THAT influential. In the book "Tribe Of Mentors" Tim has a plethora of advice from different mentors he has interviewed. In a similar format to his previous book Tools Of Titans, Tim offers valuable advice for anyone aspiring to be an entrepreneur. This book is like having your own bunch of personal mentors giving you advice on how to become successful from their own personal experiences.

10. Tim Ferriss: The 4 Hour Work Week

Book Length

Score Out Of 10

PDF Included?

13 Hours 1 Min

10/10

No

Finally, I had to save the best for last (yes it is another Tim Ferriss book) I believe in my own opinion that this is one of his best books. The 4 hour work week is a MUST read for all entrepreneurs because Tim goes into depth on how to live an easy life only working a few hours a week. He teaches you various ways to essentially work on autopilot by using employees, technology and other resources to take the work load off of your shoulders so you can spend your life doing what you love. This book is an easy 10 out of 10 for me I highly recommend it.

Let me know what you think of this list or if you have any other books you'd add to it in the comments below. Thanks for reading this post and be sure to check out my other posts.
